ROPE LADDERS FOR LARGE BIRDS
This is for a Custom Made Large Parrot Rope Ladder, that I have made for my own blue & green Macaw. It passed the test with my bird and I know it will pass the test with yours!
I have sold them to customers with pet monkeys as well, and they are great for the larger birds such as cockatoos as well!
I make these ladders using pvc and sisal rope, both of which are perfectly safe for your bird.
I've made them for myself and friends and this is the first time I've tried to sell them.
I pretty much make these on order, so give me and extra day before it ships.
I make these in 5 foot lengths unless you specify otherwise. I have a paypal button below for the 5 foot length for $50.00 and I'll ship them free in the states! I can make them longer if you wish. What I did is hang them horizontally and let the excess be used as a vertical ladder. There are many configurations limited only by your imagination!
They are very strong and will stand up to the bird abuse you probably well know about!
This is a very labor intensive and loving process that I do by myself without help. There are a lot of knots to tie!
You can also hang these outside or inside. Your bird will love them! Mine did. I created catwalks with them in my back yard.
These arent' the flimsy bead covered ladders you see at Pet Smart. These are the real thing!!

rope ladders for humans
These are Custom Hand Made Rope Ladders made by myself. They are made from PVC and Half Inch Poly Rope. I use One Inch PVC Pipe.
The rungs are a foot long and there is a one foot spacing between each one.
If you shop for rope ladders you'll find that most of them have the rope tied around the rungs which doesn't make them very stable and they can easily move causing you to loose your footing. These have holes drilled in the PVC and the rope passes through the holes which makes them a lot more stable and reliable. It also makes them harder to build and takes longer.
These are great for a gym, or for a home made obstacle course.
They are strong and the PVC is practically Indestructible.
The Poly Rope is weather resistant, and won't disintegrate like Sisal Rope would.
I use high quality anchor line, with a safe working load of 550 lbs or 249 KG
It has a breaking strength of 5,200 lbs or 2,359 KG
Of course that increases since the weight load is distributed on two sides on the ladder.
If you're building your own obstacle course, or just want something to test your climbing skill with these are great. You can build upper body strength by climbing using only your hands.
If you have a home or live in an apartment that has more than one floor this would be great to keep next to an upstairs window for an emergency. Just permanently attach one end and in an emergency simply unroll out the window!
They're also great to simply have with you in your car if you're exploring the great outdoors!
If you own a boat this would be great for easy access from the water, and the poly rope is great wet or dry!
These are great for tree houses and the spacing of a foot between rungs can be used by adults as well as some of the larger kids.
You can string it across horizontally for an instant set of monkey bars!

I make them in 12 foot lengths and charge $10.00 per foot. I'll give you 2 feet free and if you need a longer one just let me know. Whatever length you request I'll always throw a couple of extra feet in as a bonus.
